Valley Glacier

Glacier Bay National Park, Alaska (USGS).
Valley glaciers are fed by either ice fields or cirque glaciers and are constrained by bedrock walls.  Crevassing can be present due to interaction with valley bed and walls.  Multiple valley glaciers can coalesce and flow through large valleys.  Medial moraines are indicative of multiple valley glaciers flowing in parallel.  Different flow velocities between neighboring valley glaciers can cause extensive crevassing.
