MORAINES

Moraines are accumulations of till that has been transported and deposited by ice.  Till can be deposited by many different processes.  Different types of moraines are formed in  ice marginal  and  ice disintegrational  frameworks.   Terminal  and lateral moraines  are formed within an ice marginal framework and ground moraines  are formed within an ice disintegration framework.  Landforms from each of these frameworks are present in one glacial landscape.
