ERRATIC BOULDERS 

Unlike rivers or streams, glaciers have virtually unlimited competence, meaning they can move any size particle. Large incongruous boulders left behind by melting glaciers such as this are termed erratics because their lithology or size does not reflect that of the adjacent landscape.
